Abstract

Unicystic ameloblastoma is a benign but locally aggressive odontogenic tumor that presents as a cystic cavity with or without luminal proliferation. This report presents the case of a 21-year-old male patient diagnosed with unicystic ameloblastoma, extending from the mesial aspect of tooth 37 to the mandibular angle and ramus, moving 38 teeth in a caudal direction. The patient was treated with marsupialization for three years, followed by enucleation along with the extraction of teeth 38 and 37 and peripheral osteotomy. Clinical and radiographic follow-ups were performed over a period of four years, showing no evidence of recurrence or tumor persistence. This article describes a conservative treatment alternative for managing unicystic ameloblastoma, highlighting the importance of clinical and radiographic follow-up.
