Abstract

This study presents the results of the compressive strength of concrete mixes containing pumice as a partial replacement of coarse aggregate, to determine its technical feasibility for structural applications. Concrete mixes were prepared with 20 % and 30 % replacement of coarse aggregate by pumice. The absorption, density, and compressive strength at 28 days of age were determined. The results show that pumice reduces the workability, density, and compressive strength of concrete compared to the control.
