Primeras contribuciones al debate de la Franja y la Ruta de China en América Latina

Cuando China invitó a los países latinoamericanos a participar en la Iniciativa de la Franja y la Ruta, alimentó las expectativas de una relación mucho más estrecha y productiva con la región. Sin embargo, en la práctica, hay poca evidencia de que esto sucediera incluso antes de la pandemia de coronavirus. El artículo muestra que ni las declaraciones de política de China ni las tendencias en las relaciones económicas indican un cambio sustancial en las relaciones sino-latinoamericanas y que la Iniciativa de la Franja y la Ruta representa un replanteamiento de las relaciones existentes y la continuación de las tendencias que han estado en marcha
desde la crisis financiera mundial.
