Use of recycled plastic as a replacement for natural aggregate in pervious concrete

Abstract

This paper presents the results of using recycled plastic in permeable concrete production (target strength: 140 kg/cm²). Test specimens with recycled plastic replacing 3% and 5% of the coarse aggregate volume were prepared. Compressive strength and permeability were evaluated at 28 days. Results show that recycled plastic reduces compressive strength while increasing permeability.
