The Academic Journals Portal of the Universidad Americana (UAM) is an institutional platform dedicated to the dissemination of scientific knowledge produced by faculty, students, and both national and international researchers across the university’s diverse departments. This academic environment, characterized by Open Access and the absence of publication fees (APCs), reflects UAM’s commitment to the democratization of knowledge, research excellence, and the strengthening of the regional and global scientific ecosystems.

The portal hosts specialized journals across various fields of study, each designed to publish original articles, essays, and projects that contribute to scholarly dialogue and the advancement of their respective disciplines:

  • GAIA Socio-Environmental Studies Journal: Coordinated by the Directorate of Research and University Extension (DIEX), this journal is dedicated to the publication of interdisciplinary research concerning the environment, sustainable development, and society-nature relations.

  • The UAM Health Sciences Journal: An annual publication coordinated by the Faculty of Medical Sciences. Its primary objective is to disseminate research and advancements within the health sciences, fostering knowledge exchange among professionals, academics, and students. Through original articles, reviews, and case studies, the journal contributes to scientific development and the enhancement of clinical practice, promoting a comprehensive and contemporary approach to healthcare.

  • Scientific Journal of Social Studies (RCES): Affiliated with the Faculty of Legal Sciences, Humanities, and International Relations, this journal disseminates research in the fields of law, education, and international relations, encouraging critical reflection and socio-legal analysis.

  • Scientific Journal of Engineering and Architecture (iyA): Produced by the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, it provides a platform for sharing innovations, technical proposals, and scientific developments in Information Systems Engineering, Industrial, Civil, and Environmental Engineering, as well as Architecture and Urbanism.

  • Stomarium Odontological Journal: Sponsored by the Faculty of Dentistry, it focuses on the dissemination of scientific studies and clinical and academic advancements in dentistry, including undergraduate and postgraduate research as well as international collaborations.

From a strategic communications perspective, the UAM Journals Portal aims to strengthen the university's academic positioning by enhancing the visibility and international impact of locally generated scientific knowledge. We aspire to consolidate this space as a reliable and updated resource for researchers, professionals, decision-makers, and students, thereby contributing to the development of an open, collaborative, and transformative science. Our "no-fee" open-access policy ensures equity in both the publication and consultation of knowledge, in alignment with the principles of inclusion, academic ethics, and social responsibility.
