About the Journal

SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL OF ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURE iyA

The Scientific Journal of Engineering and Architecture iyA aims to publish scientific articles, essays, and outstanding projects resulting from high-quality and original research and academic work.

The journal provides a platform for disseminating scholarly work developed in the fields of engineering and architecture, specifically within the following disciplinary areas: Architecture, Urban Planning and Territory; Design and Interior Design; Civil Infrastructure; Engineering and Processes; Information and Communication Technologies; and Environmental Sciences, as well as their respective research and innovation lines within the scope of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Universidad Americana.

The iyA Journal is published annually in March in digital format and accepts manuscripts in Spanish and English. Articles are selected through a double-blind peer-review process.

The journal is published in electronic format (e-ISSN: 2959-9679) and print format (i-ISSN: 2959-9962). Each article is also assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier). The first issue was published in 2022, with an annual publication frequency. The journal is published by the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Universidad Americana, Nicaragua.

Audience: Researchers, academics, and professionals in engineering, architecture, and related fields at national and international levels who have original and unpublished research results suitable for publication.

Code of Ethics: The editorial process of the iyA Journal follows the ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Open Access Policy: The iyA Journal is published under an open access policy, providing free access to research findings for reading and downloading, provided that the content is not used for commercial purposes.

All material published in the journal is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license permits the copying and redistribution of the material in any medium or format, provided that appropriate credit is given to the journal and the author, the work is distributed free of charge, and no modifications are made to the original content.
